This cliche rings so true, "age is so much more than just a number". As our guest, Katia says it's a mindset and a way of life. We think that many women have yet to embrace aging as a natural progression for their lives. We want to think we will one day find the fountain of youth, but how wonderful can it be if we accept it as part of our human condition and embrace it to the fullest. And embracing it to the fullest is why I have the pleasure of introducing a very dear friend of mine Katia Lessa, Katia is a fabulous interior designer, stylist, and founder of @lepikiofficial an all organic inspirational t-shirt line. Katia and I are here to tell you that age shouldn't stop you or any other woman from living your life to the fullest! Katia found her beauty at the age of 50, and it was then that she really began to feel fabulous and healthy. She shares how she embraces her age and her maturity and has no wishes of going back. She lives her life by enjoying every day like it's the last. Follow Katia Lessa in Instagram @Katia_lessa10 and @lepikiofficial Like the podcast? Follow @vibesbyalicia for updates and great content! One of the most fun conversations Rusk and I ever have is when we go deep into our favorite fictional television relationships. Y'all we go in with our tweezers and dissect! In this fun and off-the-cuff episode, we get to go in deep on some of our favorite TV couples. We talk about what makes them a good couple if they have a good life, their money, their family dynamic dealing with kids, work, and hobbies. The conversation is in good fun and giving notes based on our experiences as a long-term couple. We start with Married with Children Al and Peggy Bundy and their dysfunctional functional marriage. The complicated love between Don and Betty Draper, a '50s throwback of MadMen and his Stepford wife. The on-and-off romance between Carrie and Big on Sex and The City, then we get nasty and judgy on Issa and Lawrence of Insecure. Join us as we take a look back at the fictional couples whose love stories we became invested in over the years. Which couple is your favorite? Bonus: We talk about our latest experience with Canadian Covid travel restrictions at the end of the episode. Like the podcast? Follow @vibesbyalicia for updates and great content! There is no right way to self-love. As women we take that directive as a selfish act, we think that if we do something to show love to ourselves that we are denying everyone else. This episode is about exactly the opposite, it's about giving ourselves the opportunity to chase the dreams we desire, studying the type of medicine we want, and doing it for the sake of helping others love themselves more! This week Dr. Pallavi Kumbla is showing us how we can be navigators of our ships and the spreaders of more self-love. We shared our own stories of growing up in an immigrant family, the expectations, the perceptions, and the stereotypes. A deep dive into why one particular life experience can dictate what career path we choose and how it changes the course of our journey. Getting to know Dr. Pallavi Kumbla has been wonderful, her heart is deeply entrenched in helping other women feel great about themselves. It's time we realize that confidence can start from the outside going in. As mentioned in the episode Dr. Pallavi has an amazing Amazing Promo for you!! In this episode, I have the pleasure of presenting to you someone that I've been following for a while online and at local events. I've attended his workshops and live events in an effort to learn how to better humanize my message, something that can be applied to almost any business or project. Welcome my colleague and fellow podcaster Ozeal DeBastos. Ozeal is a podcaster, podcast consultant, and founder of Ozeal Media. Since the launch of his podcast, No Permission Needed, in 2017, his show has garnered iTunes’ coveted, “New and Noteworthy” designation, as well a position on Apple’s Top 50 business podcast list. His podcast, No Permission Needed has an undisputed five-star rating, and over one million downloads. When starting anything you will always be beset by self-doubt and questioning your ability to perform at the highest standards. Starting a podcast for me was akin to starting a new job, the imposter syndrome was and is so real, it paralyzes you if you allow it. When Covid 19 happened it struck me that the time is now…no more waiting, because evidently time can be so fleeing. I remember Ozeal insisting that I just start, that I don’t wait until it's perfect, and that it would flow as long as I stayed true to my vision and myself. That's what this episode is here to do, motivate you to START and to keep going despite the imposter syndrome, the doubts, the self-sabotaging and not knowing the process. This year we both encourage you to take the opportunity to “humanize your message” and make it a viable part of any marketing strategy. Whether in business or your personal brand, we think this is the time to tell everyone your story! Statistics mentioned in the episode link Follow Ozeal at ozeal_media and website! Like the podcast? Happy New Year Viberz! I'm so thrilled to start off the year with a fun and fabulous episode opener! Come along and join me and my guest, Amanda Payan Farris, as we talk about the evolution of HBO's Sex and the City and the reboot And Just Like That. Our mutual obsession started back when we were both single girls and continued through marriages and motherhood. We have loved discovering new fashions with Carrie, the joys and challenges of living single like Charlotte, breaking glass ceilings with Miranda, and exploring sexuality with Samantha. In this fun opener, Amanda and I re-live our love for Sex and the City and why we both found the adaption And Just Like That unique, progressive, and timely. Our conversation delves into ageism, woke culture, POC representation, and sexuality. We can't promise we didn't talk a few spoilers 😉 let's just say it's been a fun ride for over twenty years and we're not ready to get off... yet! Follow Amanda at @hypegirlmindset Like the podcast? In this episode, I have the pleasure of presenting to you my gynecologist Dr. Daisy Ayim. Dr. Ayim is a Cosmetic Surgeon, ObGyn, Business Owner, and Entrepreneur, she is revolutionizing the integration of Women’s Health And Cosmetic Care. I bring this wonderfully educational episode to my listeners as I think the dialogue of modern fertility needs to be discussed more openly. We know that there is such a stigma around the conversation of preserving fertility, sexual health, infertility, waiting to conceive, trying to conceive ….basically all things associated. I know that this is a topic that many women can relate to and it's the perfect opportunity for a professional to give us facts, perspective, and advice. Dr. Daisy Ayim tells us why egg freezing and preservation are excellent ways to increase your chances of motherhood and give yourself time to assess your living situation. We also delve into single motherhood by choice, we discuss fertility hormone tests, sexual pleasure, and how soon you should begin to look at your options. We also talk about her aesthetic practice and why she's uniquely equipped to handle gyno and cosmetics simultaneously. Listen in as Dr. Ayim and I agree that peace of mind comes first when we learn more about fertility on our terms. It was when Susan Gomez learned about fashion pollution - and how it affects our planet, that the idea to create a sustainable fashion line came to her mind. Susan knew the people that worked in the garment industry in Guatemala, and she understood the consumer so she created Sugopetite! Sugopetite was created with a clear focus on a brand for petite women, using only sustainable fabrics, and ensuring the people who make the dresses are treated well and in good working conditions. In this episode, we talk about the slow death of the brick-and-mortar store and what we see in the future of slow fashion, and the idea that retail will be more e-commerce and online with the addition of 3D imaging. Lastly, our conversation turns to how we can incorporate micro-influencing marketing when doing an online clothing store. Sugopetite is represented by an array of amazing influencers who believe in the vision and who exemplify the Sugopetite woman; classic, simple, and feminine. You can find them here! Alicia has worked for years to prove herself in every possible way. Her upbringing as the oldest of four in the near northside of Houston taught her grit and determination. Every single thing she does exceeds expectations and is aligned with integrity. Her father once said to her that we are all the product of their generation's sacrifices and it's so important that we give back to society so that their sacrifices will not be in vain and that's what she holds as her guiding star.
